BCCI has officially confirmed the much hyped India- Pakistan bilateral series. Indian Premier League (IPL) chairman Rajiv Shukla revealed the tentative date of the series which will be held in Sri Lanka from December 15 2015.

After months of uncertainty, India have agreed to play a short bilateral series with Pakistan in 'neutral' Sri Lanka. The arch-rivals will play three ODIs and two Twenty20 internationals from December 15.

“India vs Pakistan series will happen tentatively from Dec 15 in Sri Lanka”, Rajiv Shukla met the press in Mumbai on behalf of BCCI.

The much-hyped series has been finalised after months-long negotiations between BCCI and PCB. India did not play a full bilateral series against Pakistan since 2007. A short series was played in India in 2012. But, political tension and diplomatic hiccup between two neighbours have been a barrier between the cricket ties.

The much talked-about India - Pakistan cricket series could be played out in two parts with Sri Lanka hosting the limited-overs games next month and England being the venue for Test matches next year.
