The ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 will be the 11th ICC Cricket World Cup, and will be jointly hosted by Australia and New Zealand. The location of the games will be evenly split, with the location of the final to be the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
The ICC WC 2015 tournament will starts from 14 February with the co-hosts Australia and New Zealand in action against their respective opponents at home. The Melbourne Cricket Ground will host the final of the 2015 cricket World Cup on March 29 2015.
Tournaments Groups:
Each of the 14 teams had been divided into two pools where they play each other in a round-robin format before the top four from each pool qualify for the quarter-finals.
Pool A: England, Australia, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, New Zealand, Qualifier 2 and Qualifier 3
Pool B: South Africa, India, Pakistan, West Indies Zimbabwe, Ireland and Qualifier 4
Venue cities: Adelaide, Auckland, Brisbane, Canberra, Christchurch, Dunedin, Napier, Nelson, Hamilton, Hobart, Melbourne, Perth, Sydney, Wellington
Tournament Schedule details:
The tournament will feature 49 matches across 44 days in 14 cities throughout February and March of 2015.
The first match of the tournament will be played between Sri Lanka and hosts New Zealand on February 14, at Christchurch. Feb 14 - New Zealand vs Sri Lanka and England vs Australia ( (d/n match) ).
India will play with rivals Pakistan in their first match of ICC WC 2015, in Adelaide on February 15.
